Now That’s Something Good Podcast

Kimmy Narro

Sarah Good with Kimmy Narro Season 2 Episode 36

What’s so neat about this story is that we didn’t meet our guest until a recent road trip. We went with our eldest daughter, Lillian, on a college visit to Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. There we met Kimmy, her mom Rachel, and her big sister Kennedy. They just so happened to be in the same tour group as us and we immediately made a positive connection!

After multiple “chance encounters” throughout Lynchburg we just knew we were supposed to invite the Narro’s to tell their story. Will calls moments like these not a “coincidence” but, rather, a “God-incident.” We hope and pray you recognize why this was more than just a random encounter, but, rather a truly impactful story that encourages you as much as it has us!

During this episode you will hear mostly from Kimmy. Her mom, Rachel, big sister, Kennedy, and our daughter Lillian also chime in throughout.

This episode was recorded in Lynchburg, Virginia at a wonderful AirBnB called The Bird House

Sarah:
[1:27] Hey friends today we are on location I told you you're going to hear this but I've got in our makeshift Studio our brand new friend Kimmy wanna say hello.

Kimmy:
[1:36] Hello everyone I'm Kimmy.

Sarah:
[1:38] Kimmy so I feel like we got a jump right in you just got it how did we get connected like how do we how are you sitting here today in our little Airbnb.

Kimmy:
[1:45] Wow well there has been a lot of just connections crazy connections and like will had said earlier they're not coincidences but it's God's incident,
right now yeah so um so yeah I mean we just casually bumped into each other I know at the Liberty University College visit,
we had just met there and I know that Lily she had mentioned her worship major and and that caught my eye automatically I was like whoa like I'm going into worship to I was like that's super cool,
so maybe I'll talk to her later and and we ended up just bumping into each other I don't know how many times about maybe four times just why like it's just such a God thing,
that I didn't answer to prayers for sure.

Sarah:
[2:33] I love it well and then we just awkwardly had a bold moment where we exchange numbers with your mom and then I was like Hey so we have a podcast,
super awkward we know we don't really know us but do you want to come hang out and so here we are.

Kimmy:
[2:46] Here we are yes.

Sarah:
[2:47] Carrie I'm excited so let's start like yo actually let's go way back so if you don't mind how can we how old are you.

Kimmy:
[2:53] I am 17 years old.

Sarah:
[2:55] 17 I love this because I think I love when we get to bring younger people on and just hear what God's doing your life so back up and just give us a little bit of the 17-year Kimmy,
history a little bit where you from how's school been all that stuff.

Kimmy:
[3:11] Well I am from South Texas of a city called Edinburgh very at the tip of tip the tip tip tip of Texas,
and so I have gone through a lot and God has put me through so many seasons of my life to bring me where I am right now,
um starting with school I mean I am a huge fan I love singing I love worshiping the Lord and I love acting I love musical theater,
so I had started acting when I was in kindergarten when I was five so are for I don't know how old are you when you're in kindergarten and.

Sarah:
[3:49] For five somewhere in.

Kimmy:
[3:50] Yeah so I started acting then and I pursued that all my life I kind of made that just my priority,
um until seventh grade my youth pastor he had reached out to me and a few other musical musically inclined students and he was like Hey Y'all like y'all want to start a worship team and blah blah blah so we started to worship team then,
and since then I kind of made worship and just turds and my relationship with Christ priority over theater,
but it wasn't until High School where I really wear that was really adamant I was really adamant about God and my relationship with him in high school I did run it run into a couple of problems,
being a Christ follower this past year before two years ago wow covid has.

Sarah:
[4:39] It kind of ever in covid brainiest lost a year and there it feels like.

Kimmy:
[4:42] Yeah so um so back my sophomore year I moved with my freshman year and going into high school I moved completely new District.

Sarah:
[4:52] Okay oh wow.

Kimmy:
[4:53] For the theater program yeah so I moved to districts just for the theater program and just to pursue that,
so I was really happy and I with my where God had moved me,
and then I our schedule is crazy we did 929 practices after school it those are we're on the weekends and then after school it was like five to nine practices,
crazy hours which I love those hours it was just so much fun and,
so then later as God called me closer to worship I started putting that first so Wednesday nights I couldn't go to theater practice or you know Saturday nights I couldn't go because I had to be up Sunday early morning 8 or 7 a.m.
so I would tell them hey like I can't make these these practices like you know I'd give them a Time an event of advance and they would say stuff like well isn't your God everywhere can't you just get on your knees and pray from here can't hear you from here.

[5:56] And those are quote unquote words what they've told me the directors wow so from adults that's what I've just kind of take that and I was like whoa like,
yeah this is not where I would really want to be and it's really hard because theater I loved it I love my life I,
it is a priority and then until then and then covid hit so it was kind of just like a waiting for me to squirm out of that theater program,
still love acting and musical theater so much as just that theater program which is why I guess just,
it wasn't for me I guess as I had learned maybe two years later.

Sarah:
[6:32] Okay okay well can we let me back up so we actually have a little studio audience in here today so tell me about who's with you right now in the room and then tell me about the rest of your family.

Kimmy:
[6:42] Okay so my beautiful mom her name's Rachel and then my awesome sisters of my vff a Kennedy,
and then at home they came with me to Virginia to the college visit and then my dad is at home and my brother he is the oldest son.

Sarah:
[7:01] And we'd established you're the baby of the family right okay so you're the youngest coming and I'm sure we'll have a lot of questions about that.

Kimmy:
[7:03] Yes I'm the baby.

Sarah:
[7:08] We're already laughing because we met Kimmy and their family is Kimmy shared earlier and it's like her and Lillian just have a lot of similarities and we're just like it's super cool how God connected so there's a.

Kimmy:
[7:18] Sure.

Sarah:
[7:20] Especially as your timeout theater because Lillian is a big theater theater kid it's a we're just discovering more and more things as we go okay so I feel like I gotta ask a couple theater questions so like what was your very first show do you remember like what's the very first show you were in.

Kimmy:
[7:34] Okay so I have you ever heard of Destination Imagination,
okay so so DIY that we go by d i it's just I guess like a well we do it the Rio Grande Valley so it's a bunch of schools in the valley they come together and it's a competition mom do you kind of want you've been a coach do you want to kind of want to.

Sarah:
[7:53] Yeah we're passing the third Mike around here so we can share.

Audience:
[7:56] Hi so I'm Kimmy's mom and Destination Imagination used to be Odyssey of the Mind.

Sarah:
[8:01] Okay okay.

Audience:
[8:03] And they so once it became I guess maybe 20 years ago became Destination Imagination,
so Kimberly since Kinder at our campus school we had them compete in the in it,
that's where her acting came in and we like lived d i that's all we did.

Kimmy:
[8:23] Lived Dia yeah so.

Audience:
[8:30] Petition and it's also it's it's Statewide once you make it to the state level then it's National yeah global.

Sarah:
[8:38] Wow okay.

Kimmy:
[8:39] Nationwide and in global is as in like we go where was it.

Audience:
[8:42] It's in Tennessee.

Kimmy:
[8:43] It was in Tennessee but people from all over the world came all.

Sarah:
[8:46] That's amazing okay so is that how you've done I have social medias talk to you just a little bit and this afternoon trying to find a few things it looks like you guys travel a lot is partly some of the traveling due to theater stuff or just in general.

Kimmy:
[9:00] Okay.

Audience:
[9:05] Pretty much came from there and then her background from us at school then at the local University she started acting in 7th grade or no.

Kimmy:
[9:17] Yes 4th grade through seventh grades or through eighth grade I at utrgv we they had a theater tya theater for young audiences,
so there were like Children's shows but all the college students weren't and the professor was a the D I mean the I coach was the theater Professor that was like teaching us for the show,
and it was just a suit in a great great great experience doing that for a couple of years.

Sarah:
[9:40] Okay so you have to a theater competitions is a new thing I've never really heard about that so like when you're competing like what would what does that mean like what would you be doing like the whole theater group you individually like monologues or.

Audience:
[9:53] It's a an entire it's a.

Kimmy:
[9:56] A team a team of seven.

Audience:
[9:58] So there's two parts to it,
you have to like build your own props build your own.

Kimmy:
[10:03] Get to like build your own props build your own from scratch total scratch.

Sarah:
[10:08] That's amazing.

Kimmy:
[10:10] They like encourage.

Audience:
[10:11] Did you to use like recycled items so like we met there was this one year that we made like a book and it was.

Kimmy:
[10:13] There was this one year that we made like a book and it was just out of like those cardboard boxes and we just made layers of it.

Audience:
[10:20] Comes in and we just made layers of it and it was oh and we I mean yeah we would use up the PVC pipes and news like shower curtains everything from,
everything so it was it's a pretty unique like it makes the kids think and like use their brain to like okay like why don't you say so I don't use that.

Sarah:
[10:38] Yeah so Kennedy were you a part of that as I mean like were you in it too.

Audience:
[10:44] Think only for 3 years I didn't do it I didn't continue.

Kimmy:
[10:48] My but I was I was I don't know.

Audience:
[10:52] This is and help build things with them so.

Sarah:
[10:54] That's amazing so that's Kennedy's voice that you're hearing she's the big sister of Kimmy who were adopting to be the big sister of everybody right now so,
there's family has just become family to us so they're a part of the something good family and we're keeping him but,
that's amazing okay so can we in Middle School and High School part of your school did you do like is it musical theater just theater all of the above.

Kimmy:
[11:16] So it was more towards High School where we did because our children shows where more musical theater like Frozen and stuff like that so I've actually played Baby on ice.

Sarah:
[11:29] I'm telling you it's like mirror lives right now though.

Kimmy:
[11:34] So awesome.

Sarah:
[11:35] I love it so what was your other do you have another favorite role that just is one of your favorites that you love getting to do and be.

Kimmy:
[11:41] Probably at utrgv I think what year was it when we did Sylvester and the Magic Pebble I don't know if you've heard.

Sarah:
[11:48] I've never heard of that but I'm not to look at.

Kimmy:
[11:49] Okay it's like a well it's a book so what they would do they wouldn't really do like maybe like Broadway shows but they would do they would kind of get something out of books.

Sarah:
[11:56] Yeah that's cool.

Kimmy:
[11:58] Yeah so they did Sylvester in the Magic Pebble and I was actually Sylvester it well they made it a girl because it was originally a boring character.

Sarah:
[12:05] Sylvie or something.

Kimmy:
[12:06] Yeah so that was just such an awesome experience especially like just having that experience with the college level,
it was really really cool going at those hours I loved it so much and it was just a great experience overall.

Sarah:
[12:21] That's really neat okay so fast sport did you when did you graduate high school did you graduate.

Kimmy:
[12:26] I'm a senior right now actually.

Sarah:
[12:27] So your graduate okay I knew you were okay so you graduate early.

Kimmy:
[12:31] I'm going to graduate in December okay.

Sarah:
[12:32] Okay congratulations that's amazing so you mentioned covid how is that change just the last time are you back to school and person virtual did you change it up what.

Kimmy:
[12:45] Well I actually am in person now this this starting,
this starting in August or September we started in person but this whole maybe for a year and a half we were online,
which is really tough I'm not a huge fan I could I adapted but it was just not great I don't know.

Audience:
[13:06] People are technologically.

Sarah:
[13:08] Fair enough fair enough yep yep.

Kimmy:
[13:10] She's like I said earlier she Kennedy's the brain the family can it can ease the brain.

Sarah:
[13:14] Hey you know what we all have our strong suits will have gifts it's great we all need each other that's amazing so Kimmy so then theater has it been on pause for have you gotten to do any theater lately.

Kimmy:
[13:25] Actually I have not so I recently my last play was probably in,
right before covid happened in December.

Sarah:
[13:35] Okay wow.

Kimmy:
[13:36] So yeah which is crazy because I mean I just putting a pause on it like that like like sudden like I,
for so long and then just stopping all of a sudden but I feel cuz,
right when covid happened and I just got more involved with church since Church they stopped having people come in person and we did those at you know everyone knows we did those online.

Sarah:
[14:00] The online services.

Kimmy:
[14:02] So so what we did was it was the worship pastor and then I was there and then the pastor and then my brother and sister are actually tech-savvy,
they would go to.

Sarah:
[14:14] Shout out to the tech crew of worship stuff we need all of them yeah.

Kimmy:
[14:17] Yeah so they worked behind the scenes so it was just us that when since we were already a family you know sharing the same,
yeah so it was just us that we were going to the church during covid and like.

Sarah:
[14:31] Wow yeah.

Kimmy:
[14:31] Handling those online services so after quitting not really quitting but not doing theater anymore God just opened a new door for me just to focus on worship,
as I kind of was leading two groups so I was leading one group and then recently now I'm leading to so.

Sarah:
[14:51] Okay well thank you guys for doing online church I know that that is everybody had to jump into that world you know I told you guys were in church world it was not easy because literally,
or night you kind of had to figure out how to do that but for the people being able to still be a part of church I know that's a huge blessing and feel like you could still be Community even when couldn't really be in the same spot so that's amazing,
welcome 8 let's talk about some of this worship stuff we've said I've told you like our whole family is big family of worshippers I've been a worship leader Lily was to be a worship leader we love it so I promised everybody listening we won't geek out too far on all the worship stuff.

Kimmy:
[15:27] No promises but I will try.

Sarah:
[15:28] I made it might go a little deep I will try well let's just start here most are with a really and it's gonna be a hard question and it always is so I don't know I'm asking it,
if you had the pick like just one or two favorite worship songs what would be your favorite or I say what would be your all-time favorites,
and then what are you currently listening to what's something that you really like.

Kimmy:
[15:48] Okay so one that I'm currently listening to is well there's two that I'm currently listening to One is gratitude by Brandon Lake.

Sarah:
[15:56] I don't know if I've heard that I'm obviously I know Brandon lake is is it new new one.

Kimmy:
[15:59] Brandon Lake I think he's a part of elevation.

Sarah:
[16:02] Is it yeah I think he jumped out he used he's kind of all over the place.

Kimmy:
[16:05] Yeah he is all over the place but he's a great musician great worship leader but yeah gratitude is one of the songs that I actually just like found it this past week and then I before we came I I picked it up on the guitar and I was like it's just such a great song,
kind of fool I love I'm a weird like music person I love minor keys.

Sarah:
[16:23] Hey you know what there is a time and place for those for sure they're good so gratitude is minor okay.

Kimmy:
[16:28] Is minor kind of like it has some harmonies that can go into like minor.

Sarah:
[16:33] Yeah can be a little darkish right yeah.

Kimmy:
[16:36] So there's that one and then there's by Anne Wilson my Jesus is a.

Sarah:
[16:40] That my Jesus I love that one it's got that cool little country vibe to a little bit yeah a little twang to it in my poop i can I get down for that that's a good one give me a fucking ride to hear you sing that song at some point like that would be.

Kimmy:
[16:53] That's funny because some people at my church I know my the youth pastor and then our executive pet no not in our senior pastor he they have told me you have kind of a country twang it's so weird I'm like oh sorry,
do you need that's what they say so.

Sarah:
[17:08] That's that's great well let's talk about this singing thing let me back at so you've been in theater musical stuff have you been singing your whole entire life.

Kimmy:
[17:17] Well pretty much so actually when I was a baby my grandma who passed away the same year that I was born she she raised me just for a couple of months that I was I was,
as alive and so she she had told me that I tried humming when I was a baby.

Sarah:
[17:36] Really okay.

Kimmy:
[17:37] Super Rich yeah she said that I would try humming and try singing and try like trying to say words right.

Audience:
[17:43] This was before six months because my mom passed away when she was 6 months but I would get home from work and she'd be like you should hear what she was trying to do.

Kimmy:
[17:53] So my grandpa is he well what did he do to you if you want to say.

Audience:
[17:58] Musically inclined my entire family is musically inclined.

Sarah:
[18:04] It skipped you Rachel.

Audience:
[18:10] When my dad was she was with my dad a lot because my mom passed.

Sarah:
[18:14] Okay yeah.

Audience:
[18:16] She actually helped all of us.

Sarah:
[18:21] Wow because you would just be able to help singing mmm.

Kimmy:
[18:24] Enjoy.

Audience:
[18:29] It's my grandma but then like we had her to like get us through everything.

Sarah:
[18:33] That's that's really special that's that's really cool Kimmy so singing well I want to come back to the Joy part in a minute,
I feel like it took me about two seconds of hanging out with you to,
you definitely have the joy of the Lord but so you've been humming and singing this whole time so tell us I mean you said Church gotten to be in the church world singing worship what is it about,
worship that like why you love it so much and why you kind of want to give your life to being a worship leader right.

Kimmy:
[19:03] Well when was my first special mom when I sang in front of Truth as three when I sang you know Jesus loves yes I know her that was the song that I sing and so.

Audience:
[19:17] Surrender the one what's this song The Surrender one you were like in third grade I think the one that Cayley recorded you.

Kimmy:
[19:26] My Redeemer Lives My Redeemer okay bye Anna.

Sarah:
[19:29] Okay Nicole C Mullen.

Kimmy:
[19:30] Yeah yeah yeah so I just think that worship has a special place in my heart just because it's not just like,
any lyrics to a song or not just any words but it's like totally the truth and most of the time I mean that those lyrics come from the Bible,
and so it just,
the words that come along with the Melodies are just so Heavenly and so they're worthy of singing to God and that's that's the point of worship I think that leading people to the throne of worship is just,
you're having like that conversation with Melodies to God or for God and I just think that that's what worship is all about and just having a muse any musical talent I just think that it's so awesome that people use it,
for God and and use their talents for God's sake.

Sarah:
[20:19] Yeah we talked about all over scripture right you see I mean there's a lot of ways we can worship and we could probably spend a lot of time.

Kimmy:
[20:25] Yeah for sure.

Sarah:
[20:26] Open semantics and all of that and there's a lot of ways that comes out but clearly over and over in scripture you can see that one of God's favorite ways to be worshipped is through instrument and music and Melody and it's amazing,
that connects us and we often talk about like worship it's our theology to music and so as we're singing these songs is telling us about the character of who God is,
and it's amazing and we need to hear ourselves say those things over and over again,
okay so come back you told us a couple of your favorite gratitude Brandon Lake my Jesus Anne Wilson right Wilson's our last night I was.

Kimmy:
[20:58] Yeah Wilson her.

Sarah:
[20:59] And then what's like what just give us a few other of Kimmy's favorite worship songs that people are listening and they're having a day and they need to put on some worship music what would you tell him to listen to.

Kimmy:
[21:08] Called oh yeah thank you Jesus for the blood.

Sarah:
[21:12] Yes okay.

Kimmy:
[21:13] And then one that has totally spoken to me and honestly I gave my testimony at church a couple of months ago and one song that I sang along with it that just totally reflects off of a really well is,
called me Higher by All Sons and Daughters I think so it's a really,
yeah so I love all Sons and Daughters Lauren Daigle a lot of people I guess when it was usually when I was born yeah not anymore but usually like I guess when my voice was maturing and like when I was growing up singing,
because I guess the church like they saw me grow up they heard me like vocally spiritually they saw me grow up so,
they always told me you sound so much like Lauren Daigle like I can close my eyes and you just sound like Lauren Daigle and I'm like that's not that's a compliment so thank,
I like it.

Sarah:
[22:03] It's a basic or speaking of learned a lot so when I when we were social media stalking you earlier Kimmy we saw that you've gotten to make some videos right.

Kimmy:
[22:11] Yes yes.

Sarah:
[22:12] I'm producing a recordings to like talk about how that happened talk about the experience all that.

Kimmy:
[22:17] Wow will also that was kind of a God thing gonna kind of totally so so in Michigan along with my my,
mom's brothers so my uncle's they're all musically inclined they had the ones that live in Michigan they have this thing this band called Big Brother Band right,
and they you know do these gigs I don't know if you know if you've been to Michigan but it's totally laid-back and they just have these gigs,
Saturday's they go to the lake and then they have these gigs it's just awesome so yeah it's just all donation mmm so,
growing up we almost every summer we went to Michigan so my uncle pushed me a lot he's part of the my he's in my music history for sure
he pushed me to sing a lot in a good way so he he has totally been a light in my life and so one summer which was last summer,
no 2020 yes it was during covid I remember because we,
so last summer he was like Hey I have this friend and he said I showed him a couple videos of you singing and he said he wants me he wants to record you so I was like,
okay like okay cool cool so and we were at home and hello Michigan is totally far.

Sarah:
[23:33] Say that's a really far away from the Tippy Toe of Texas.

Kimmy:
[23:36] Yes so and we this was actually coming to Liberty was my that was my first like plane ride so we drive everywhere.

Sarah:
[23:43] Hey yeah.

Kimmy:
[23:45] So we drove to Michigan with that and it was.

Sarah:
[23:48] How many hours is it from Texas to Michigan.

Kimmy:
[23:51] 32 32 32 hours but there we take a lot of pit stop so takes like three days honestly two days to get there it's.

Sarah:
[23:58] Well that makes it fun so you some things along the way.

Kimmy:
[24:02] Yeah for sure so honestly I kind of get I've gotten tired of the car rides because okay.

Sarah:
[24:07] Can we take a plane please.

Kimmy:
[24:08] Yes exactly,
students every time yeah yeah so that's summer I I went and we went that weekend and we went to the producer and he said pick,
he said out of just bring three songs and then I'll help you pick and I was like okay good because I I mean I don't really I don't really know anything about recording I don't know what songs are best to pick or anything like that,
so so I went with three songs and two of them were you saying hallelujah and.

Sarah:
[24:41] Okay so I'm curious what was the third one can be I feel like it was the.

Kimmy:
[24:44] X's and O's yes so um,
so I went and then they recorded me and they were like whoa like your voice is crazy and so I X's and O's I had left out,
and originally and then they had said that they have this profit organization where you record the songs and then whatever money I make off of the song I give it to,
the the disability yeah,
then this the disabled kids who like to play music or want guitars or yeah so so that profit organization that last song went to and I was only supposed to record one song originally and he had said,
you know what just do both and I was like okay.

Audience:
[25:27] It was I think six hundred dollars per se.

Kimmy:
[25:30] And it was six hundred dollars per song so we you know.

Sarah:
[25:34] Yeah it adds up quick like yeah absolutely.

Kimmy:
[25:35] One song is good enough yes so so $600 keeping that in mind we were like yeah like I think we'll just do you say so bye Lauren Daigle so so we did that and then and then what had happened.

Audience:
[25:49] He we,
I don't think we can do this.

Kimmy:
[25:52] Yes.

Audience:
[25:53] Financially and we were like okay you know what let's hold off maybe next time and they're like no no like we'll bring it down to 300 and we're like okay like that's reasonable you.

Kimmy:
[25:55] Hold up maybe next time and they're like no no like will bring it down to 300 yeah.

Audience:
[26:04] So we,
believe me and my uncle were like talking about my Aunt Tammy which passed away my senior year that was really hard on us but he or heard us talking saying like man I wish Tammy was here like but we know she's watching like from heaven.

[26:26] Kimberly's done.

Kimmy:
[26:27] We're done a great we're about to hand them like our the money and finish and we're going to pay and say thank you and give our regards and stuff and then the producer Nick he said,
he just said you know what men this is on us and this is from Tammy.

Sarah:
[26:44] What that's crazy.

Kimmy:
[26:47] He said this is from Tammy and this is on us so don't even worry about paying it.

Sarah:
[26:50] Oh my goodness what a blessing.

Kimmy:
[26:51] So yeah and all three songs yeah so which would have been worth you're the math wizard of course so which would have been worthwhile,
one.

Sarah:
[27:01] $600 1,800 1,800 yeah that's crazy I knew that number cuz I'm not a math wizard so that was just really I don't know.

Kimmy:
[27:09] But yeah so it was just totally a God thing and of course we prayed so much about going going in and coming out we just,
gave so much thanks to the Lord and just it was all for his glory so yeah we're super excited and happy about that.

Sarah:
[27:24] That's amazing so it was like I mean so you also did video with it did they do all that or was the video later.

Kimmy:
[27:30] So what they did was they had recorded my voice first and then and I had never been a part of that process it was like super cool and so they recorded my voice first and then after they it was kind of like doing karaoke but to my own voice recording,
so then they recorded video or yeah they recorded audio and then video.

Sarah:
[27:49] Okay that's a pretty normal so they have it down and then you go in and they're just video recording you singing to yourself in the studio,
so we can link the is right we found them on are there other there on YouTube right there other is that where to find them the best place,
okay so we'll link up we have show notes and will will will put them all in there and we,
severe as you need to go listen to them everybody listening she does an incredible job I love it I'm a big fan when you started singing Hallelujah I was like okay that's my girl kept me I'm like I like her good pick solid pick right.

Kimmy:
[28:19] And my voice actually it's crazy because even like a month or two later like I sang the same songs and I was like whoa why do I have I look back at the songs and I'm like,
what did I do that huh I sound like a baby for some reason I'm like whoa can I record re-record those.

Sarah:
[28:35] Would have been were you 16 when you're recording them 15 okay your voice will change yeah change quite a bit but it I mean it sounds really,
that's so fun so what was the biggest kind of take away from being in a recording studio having that what what would be your biggest takeaway from that whole experience.

Kimmy:
[28:55] Well it was just such an awesome experience especially recording like you say that like glorifies God with his with its lyrics.

Sarah:
[29:01] Yeah yeah.

Kimmy:
[29:03] So I just like I was like whoa like this is so awesome like,
this this must like this is how like Lauren diggle field and Crowder and oh Crowder's another I love Crowder's.

Sarah:
[29:13] Ah man.

Kimmy:
[29:14] Phil Wickham amazing okay.

Sarah:
[29:16] Good stuff okay throw those on the list.

Kimmy:
[29:17] So yeah so it was just such a great feeling and it was just overwhelming and a great way and I was like whoa I could get used to this haha.

Sarah:
[29:26] I love it I love it well Kimmy you definitely have such a joy about you so obviously we know probably partly that's a Lord but just talk a little bit about that like where do you just are you naturally happy do you have bad days.

Audience:
[29:43] Still everyone she literally talks.

Kimmy:
[29:47] She sings in the shower she'll talk in her sleep.

Audience:
[29:48] She sings in the shower she'll talk in her sleep that first thing she does when she gets up his talk and she's never non-stop talking with.

Kimmy:
[29:55] Oh my God.

Sarah:
[29:56] That's amazing.

Audience:
[29:58] To go she's like.

Kimmy:
[30:00] Kimberly in my sleep in my sleep.

Audience:
[30:09] I totally look like an Uber.

Sarah:
[30:12] In your sleep you're just having a conversation.

Kimmy:
[30:14] Can we just cut this out off I'm kidding I'm kidding.

Sarah:
[30:17] We're keeping it in Kimi this is Gil.

Kimmy:
[30:19] No yeah I'm if you're my future roommate just to be aware I do talk in my sleep it's not it's not so bad but I don't walk in my sleep and like get a knife or anything like that so you're good.

Sarah:
[30:31] That's good that's good well you'd be in good company with the singing because Lily at there's pretty much non-stop singing that goes on all the time so you just start singing Duets maybe you'll do it in your sleep together I do.

Kimmy:
[30:44] Yes so I mean and every person just I'm normal I do have some bad days you know but I do have the Lord in my heart I have gotten,
I mean as I've grown up maybe more middle school high school people just come up to me and they're like why are you so happy like like how and I'm just like like a Jesus like I had the Lord in my heart,
like that is just the one like true way to just be happy and bring peace,
in life and I know he's the way and the truth and the life and there's just one way to the only way to be happy and I I do have bad days I do but yeah it's just they're not as bad when you have Jesus in your life so.

Sarah:
[31:26] That's awesome so what would you say Kimi just to there's a lot of young girls that are going to be listening and there's a lot of older people
all kinds of Ages listen to our podcast if someone's struggling today just maybe it's one of those days it's a little harder and the joy seems a little harder to come by what would you say to just give them some encouragement to
just keep going.

Kimmy:
[31:48] Yeah and don't look at the temporary things just just try to keep be fixated on the outcome,
and and Jesus saves and so he always will bring real bring joy joy comes in the morning as scripture says so yeah I just think that that is the one way to be happy and I know bad days do come,
but um yeah Joy comes in the morning so.

Sarah:
[32:10] Love it that's good can me so let's talk about this so we met were here at Liberty,
seeing the campus you're getting ready to make some pretty big Life Changes how are you feeling about all this give us the 411 on being a senior and graduating and then going off really far away.

Kimmy:
[32:27] Yeah well I am super nervous super know I'm nervous and excited but really nervous,
I'm coming so 23 hours away from home I'm super super,
dependent on my family I'm not one of those independent confident people at all huh but I am confident in the Lord and so wherever he sends me I know that I'm going to be okay so yeah I'm just nervous,
I and one thing I have been praying about is graduating in December so I do think that's a really like a tough decision to make,
I really am I have my eyes fixed on Liberty and I do think that God has made it really clear,
for me to go to Liberty so that is where I'm going to be attending but the where I mean the win is the the question,
so going in January I've had all these thoughts you know like,
how am I going to make friends or how am I going to get like a roommate just in January like that's so Random you know,
and then I know my sister my mom would be like no it's not that random it's like the beginning of a semester you know people don't usually know you're going to be 7 because I'm going to be 17 when I go,
so so they're not gonna know you're 17 they're not gonna know you're a freshman and so all that.

Sarah:
[33:44] Seem like you have an old soul a little bit to you like I would have not guessed you were Seventeen so that's that's good yeah.

Kimmy:
[33:50] Thank you actually at home everyone's like you look like a third or fourth grader and I'm like nah,
yeah but then it's so it's 50/50 because sometimes people think I'm like 12 or 13 and then some people think I'm older than her which Kennedy's 22 so it's yeah,
you never know.

Sarah:
[34:10] I love it so Liberty come in for worship that's going to be amazing Kimmy I know you're going to do great what other okay so like to day if you could just
pull back you could God would just tell you here's the plan and he would give you like the complete desire of your heart exactly how you want it what would be the end goal job situation life placement all that what would that look like.

Kimmy:
[34:32] Well where should just being like one of my priorities for glorifying God and it has been such a passion of mine I just think that that is one way that I would really like it's a desire in my heart to just glorify God in that way
but what has always been my prayer is whatever occupation I am going to go into whether it's,
in the medical field teaching science anything I just want my life to glorify God and and yeah so.

Sarah:
[35:03] Yeah go ahead Rachel.

Audience:
[35:03] The love for older for the.

Kimmy:
[35:07] I love older people at my church we call them classics.

Sarah:
[35:12] That's a great way to explain it classic it doesn't sound that's.

Kimmy:
[35:16] I mean I think yeah so yeah so I love Classics I have a huge place in my heart for classic so at home at church we start our I started this,
yeah and seventh grade we started this ministry Called Love Thy Neighbor,
and it was when we went to the local nursing home and this was before covid so we went to the local nursing home and then we went each month,
and we celebrated whoever's month like whoever's birthday was that month we celebrated so yeah so we and I brought some of the some of the team members from I worship team and we sang and then we got them some cake and
so we and also unlike holidays we got them like for Christmas we got them like fuzzy socks and like blankets and all that so it was a complete joy that was brought to my heart going over there I just,
totally have this click with older people and I my sister's the total opposite so she loves kids and like babies and all that and don't she doesn't really click with older people I'm the total opposite I do not really have that much patience for children,
it's very it's weird I'm sorry I just don't and then I love I just totally click with the older people so.

Sarah:
[36:24] I love it I love that you're called at Classics I think that's great all of our older friends will probably appreciate that,
but I'm sure that brought them so much joy just to have people come in and invest in them and sing for them and just pamper them because it's often generation and people that sometimes can be forgotten,
sometimes not have family to come visit and be a part so.

Kimmy:
[36:43] Yeah when we would also share you know God's word and we would just give them a small devotional.

Sarah:
[36:49] Yeah I love it okay I went back and asked you so you mentioned when you were in the theater department at school and everything that you had some interesting situations with people who would say stuff about your faith or whatever how,
how did you handle that Camille I tell us a little more about what that was and how did you handle that with Grace did you end it with Grace I guess.

Kimmy:
[37:07] Yeah well let me tell you I didn't have a smile then you know right now I always I'm always smiling all the time sometimes my jaw hurts because I smile all the time but yeah.

Sarah:
[37:18] Like Buddy the elf in the sky smiling smiling is my favorite.

Kimmy:
[37:21] I said put that in my bio something so yeah so it just honestly was really hard,
here just like face-to-face it wasn't even over texture and it just face-to-face I was just like kind of in disbelief of how harsh people can be to people who have faith or a strong relationship or any relationship with Christ,
um I just was yeah in shock and disbelief I was sad but I do know that,
and I did know then and I do know now that God had a plan,
whether I could have stood stood there at firm in my faith and well grounded and just kind of gone past it and so yeah.

Audience:
[38:06] Isn't for her going through those trials she probably wouldn't be at Liberty today because for a long time she was set on I want to do musical theater in college I want to go on Broadway I want to do,
called theater it was never really worship until everything happened.

Kimmy:
[38:22] Mmm.

Audience:
[38:24] He was like so.

Kimmy:
[38:26] Thank you yeah yeah.

Audience:
[38:28] Don't be leading worship for me that's what I want you to do and Liberty just so happen to like pop up on her.

Kimmy:
[38:31] Liberty just so happen to like pop of butter and yeah.

Audience:
[38:36] Like she was like guys I'm going here and it just kind of like it was like.

Kimmy:
[38:41] Like God yelling like hey this is your new home like you have to come here.

Audience:
[38:45] To come here and ever since then like it's just Liberty has just been like.

Kimmy:
[38:50] I totally yeah.

Audience:
[38:51] To come here it's like so hard not to say Kimberly you can't come here like it's just God calling her here this is her new home.

Sarah:
[38:58] Yeah Kimberly it's amazing you want to talk a little more about that whole experience of just kind of switching thinking hey this is what I want to do and then God kind of going here's something else.

Kimmy:
[39:08] It was definitely not a one day to the next type of switch that occupation type of thing I know that yeah I totally wanted to go I wanted to go to NYU,
yeah I wanted to pursue theater musical theater specifically and I actually was going to go to like these summer camps like literally like that summer that I was kind of looking at like that Liberty popped up on my feed,
I was fixing to go to New York to a summer camp for theater and and I'm totally not saying like theater you shouldn't be theater of,
but did just wasn't for me that God just had kind of closed that door for me personally and so so yeah I that summer,
yeah and mmm.

Audience:
[39:53] because of COVID.

Kimmy:
[39:55] Yeah.

Audience:
[39:58] I think like maybe we're supposed to go in May or June and everything shut down in March so we were like waiting and waiting and then we were just like okay that this isn't what God wants you to do so we accepted that and now we're here.

Kimmy:
[40:11] Yeah exactly.

Sarah:
[40:13] Well sometimes the best thing you can do is when you are praying and you're asking for God's will to be done.

Kimmy:
[40:16] Asking for God's will to be done.

Sarah:
[40:19] Sometimes it does happen best by closed doors and,
situations and open something else up in your like okay this is what I thought I was going to do it like you said like I'm sure God could totally bless you doing theater Seth and you could do that and I'm sure he's gonna give you a lot of opportunities and for everybody's story looks different everybody's journey is different,
but this is what God is needing to do for you right now can me and that's awesome it sounds like you're being obedient and going to step into that and I know there's gonna be a lot of blessing for doing it,
Kimmy so it sounds like we've talked a little bit that you guys like to travel a lot,
just what some of the tell us about your family traveling how does that happen how do you guys pick where to go all the things.

Kimmy:
[40:56] Well I'm honestly the I'm the child the youngest child so I'm just like hey I'm here for the ride tell me how much to pack and I am there tell me the time and day and I exactly.

Audience:
[41:08] Can restriction she packs her.

Sarah:
[41:10] Hey you don't listen to the packing restriction that's great.

Kimmy:
[41:12] You're right you're right so so yeah just tell me the time and place I'm supposed to be at the car and then I'll be there,
yeah so I I love traveling my my mom mainly is kind of the ones who my mom and my sister are the ones my dad just listens and my brothers also the tag along time.

Sarah:
[41:26] Yeah they're just around for the ride.

Kimmy:
[41:29] Yeah so we have been to 39 States so far.

Sarah:
[41:32] Oh my goodness that's impressive.

Kimmy:
[41:35] Yeah so we've been at 39 States and I had never been on a plane until now when I came to Virginia.

Sarah:
[41:39] Literally driven all those places okay.

Kimmy:
[41:41] Yeah so I don't know we've been to where it would have been too again I forget sometimes good.

Audience:
[41:49] We're doing this because we're in our with our family we.

Sarah:
[41:54] Yeah yeah.

Audience:
[41:54] Family lists are bucket list right for the family and so we want to,
attend every national baseball field in.

Sarah:
[42:07] Okay I love this Rachel and I need you to just interject here for a minute because you said a lot of great things already so tell me where does the love for baseball come from some assuming somebody has to love baseball because you're not just choosing to do this for no reason.

Audience:
[42:21] CS well my father-in-law he played baseball his entire life and in college too and bless his heart he's has colon cancer right now,
and we don't know how long.

Sarah:
[42:37] Mmm Yeah.

Audience:
[42:47] So it stems from there.

Sarah:
[42:49] Yeah.

Audience:
[42:50] And my son and my my husband so we all became.

Kimmy:
[42:56] Fall family.

Sarah:
[42:57] I love it I love it.

Audience:
[42:58] So we've been and st. Louis is actually one of our favorite.

Sarah:
[43:02] That's how we bonded partly today to their like we're from steel is like well we've been to Busch Stadium was like wait say what what this is crazy.

Audience:
[43:10] When loves baseball there.

Sarah:
[43:11] Yeah yeah we're big baseball Fanatics in the st. Louis area you're either a Cardinals fan or you just are you have no choice but to be a Cardinals fan.

Audience:
[43:22] Definitely definitely so that that's definitely Top Notch and on our list so we're looking forward to doing I guess we've done almost.

Sarah:
[43:31] Okay that's amazing.

Kimmy:
[43:33] 13 or 14 I think 13 or 14 13 stadiums.

Sarah:
[43:38] Okay so what outside of Busch Stadium wants one of the other ones that sticks out as a.

Kimmy:
[43:42] I like PNC Park in Pittsburgh.

Sarah:
[43:44] Okay what was it about I'm glad you said that can because you're talking to the wrong girl about all the sports stuff unless I wouldn't be able to tell you what it was so I.

Kimmy:
[43:53] Trust me I am not Sports Savvy I do not know any history or anything like that but PNC Park and Pitt's yeah I don't I don't like to sweat I a see if there's a see you know.

Sarah:
[44:04] We call it a sparkling like you just Sparkle a little bit but we want to keep that under control.

Kimmy:
[44:09] Love it love it yeah no I am if there's AC next door well then I'm going to be next door so you find me there.

Sarah:
[44:15] I'm with you on that that's.

Kimmy:
[44:16] Yeah so I thought that PNC Park stood out to me because of the just the community I think that also the surroundings yeah the bridges.

Sarah:
[44:24] Yeah yeah that's cool okay why don't you get Rachel what was one of your favorites and then Kennedy will let you share one.

Audience:
[44:31] Texas Rangers was one of my favorites,
and now they have a new stadium so I don't know if but I look for a community I look for interaction I look for you know for you to be in like everyone in together with the spirit you know the spirit of baseball.

Sarah:
[44:49] Yeah yeah.

Kimmy:
[44:50] Doesn't matter what your beliefs morals values or races it's just we all love baseball so that's.

Sarah:
[44:55] Yeah come together yes yes.

Audience:
[44:59] So that's definitely a New York Yankees was also one of my favorites.

Sarah:
[45:03] Yeah okay.

Kimmy:
[45:06] I love Fenway Park to Finn.

Sarah:
[45:08] No that's okay that's amazed I love that you guys have seen all these so cool okay.

Audience:
[45:14] Yes I don't like the traffic but.

Sarah:
[45:17] Absolutely most of those places will leave the driver Kennedy what about you.

Audience:
[45:20] Since you said Fenway I guess I have to go with the Astros because they're my favorite baseball team so.

Sarah:
[45:25] Okay okay.

Audience:
[45:27] But no Minute Maid has a like just that like well the times the recent time that we went was when they were in the playoffs so just the adrenaline like it was so crazy and like everybody just rooting for them is like.

Sarah:
[45:41] I love it I love it.

Audience:
[45:43] It's just so exciting so.

Kimmy:
[45:45] Well my favorite there at the Astros would it Minute Maid Park is the Torchy's Tacos so good I.

Sarah:
[45:52] Okay see now we're getting to the real good stuff here all this has been good here for sure but the stadium and then you got to about Stadium food,
so I have some more questions so when you go do you guys like do you buy do you dress like the team that you're going to see or do you like.

Audience:
[46:07] We dress and Astro attire.

Sarah:
[46:11] Okay so you guys were Astros fans across the board okay and so then you I love it so you just show up in your Astro stuff even so what do people you had to have gotten some good reactions I feel like.

Audience:
[46:22] Cleveland we actually really liked Progressive Field which is where the Cleveland Indians play,
I think we went to their away game the Astros just so happen to be playing there that when one day that we were passing by and like they were like hey see you in postseason like it's just.

Kimmy:
[46:38] Good competition friendly competition.

Sarah:
[46:41] Yeah yeah yeah I love it.

Audience:
[46:45] Didn't a good at school friendly competition and we just go back and forth and it's fine like it's all loving and it's no hatred or anything we're just like the love for baseball is there that's all that matters so yeah it's fun.

Sarah:
[46:58] That's really cool okay so I feel like we're going to need to have to get a picture or something of you guys your family and the Astros gear at one of the other stadiums I feel like we're going to need.

Audience:
[47:07] When we go visit y'all in St Louis or.

Sarah:
[47:10] You're definitely going to have to come back to Busch Stadium well Lovick so Rachel you were telling us what's your favorite barbecue in St Louis wha.

Audience:
[47:19] My goodness so when we went this past summer it was we went to or two summers ago we ate at Sugarfire.

Sarah:
[47:29] Sugarfire yes.

Audience:
[47:31] Oh my goodness bad.

Kimmy:
[47:32] Best barbecue ever.

Sarah:
[47:34] I love that we got to get sponsored by Sugarfire actually our neighbor works there and so I feel like we need to let our shout out to our neighbor.

Audience:
[47:41] And we're from Texas at every anyone that goes to st. Louis where like.

Kimmy:
[47:42] It was just like going to sugar.

Audience:
[47:45] Are going to Sugarfire.

Sarah:
[47:46] I look I'm not that's pretty High Praise from a Texan to say go to Sugarfire.

Kimmy:
[47:51] Yeah from a Texan because Texas barbecue Texas is known for barbecue.

Sarah:
[47:56] Yes yes.

Audience:
[47:58] Everything's better than Texas sorry.

Sarah:
[48:04] What's a great out that's because we've been to Texas but it's been a while we're going to come visit you guys down.

Kimmy:
[48:09] Of course yes.

Sarah:
[48:10] Ito of Texas but tell us just I mean tell us a couple of Texas things that we just need need to know.

Audience:
[48:16] You love you you're from Texas without telling me you're from Texas.

Sarah:
[48:19] Her shoes she's got the Texas shoes on I love it which I also happen to be Liberty colors and you know America so I it's across the board very patriotic over here.

Kimmy:
[48:32] I know one thing that I love about Texas just everyone comes together for the love that they have for Texas I love Texas so much I'm so sad that I'm leaving like soon but
I I know I know that God has called me here for a reason which I'm so excited and happy for whatever he has planned for me,
um but I love Texas so much it's great.

Sarah:
[48:54] I feel like once a text and always the text and write I mean like you might be able to take the girl to Texas but you can't take the text of the girl right so you'll still be you'll be.

Kimmy:
[49:00] Exactly.

Audience:
[49:02] You saying like why don't you move to Virginia with Kimmie I'm like nope never leaving too.

Kimmy:
[49:05] She's stuck on that she is.

Sarah:
[49:08] I love it have you grunt like where you guys live is that been where your family has been from for a while in that area.

Kimmy:
[49:15] Yes we got married.

Audience:
[49:18] Thirty years ago or 1990 we got married.

Sarah:
[49:21] Okay congratulations that's exciting.

Audience:
[49:23] They've all been born in Edinburgh so we've just lived there.

Sarah:
[49:28] I love all Rachel give us just the real quick while we're just all over the place how did you meet your husband like how did you guys get connected.

Audience:
[49:34] So I moved to College Station which is where he's from Texas a m-- is there.

Sarah:
[49:38] Okay yes.

Audience:
[49:41] So that's where that's where I met him and and then about a couple of years later I moved back home because I wanted to be with my mom,
and so he moved with me we got married.

Sarah:
[49:56] I love it we know College Station we have some good friends that are all for our Texas fans and so we yeah.

Kimmy:
[49:59] Cool gagan.

Sarah:
[50:02] To be excited shout out to Josh and Katie listening right now they'll be excited we found you in more friends.

Kimmy:
[50:07] Yes.

Sarah:
[50:08] I love it.

Kimmy:
[50:09] Station is awesome.

Sarah:
[50:11] Very cool will give me anything I mean we've just been all over the place is there in the time goes so fast as I said it would is there anything else we haven't talked about that you want to talk about,
getting more interesting story I'm sure you could tell us all kinds of stories but anything come to mind that you want to share with us in our listeners.

Audience:
[50:28] I I really I think that even though that Kimberly has been through a lot,
I mean she really has I would always tell Kennedy like she's 14 15 16 years old,
and you know all these people are literally canceling her you know just because of a conservative views and so she went from,
having all these friends in theater having all these friends because she went in not knowing anybody knowing.

Kimmy:
[51:00] When I when I moved districts for hi.

Audience:
[51:04] School she moved because she loved theater but she moved,
with a blindfold I mean she knew no one but because she loved theater so much and that theater Department was the place to be so she met all of these people and then come to years later.

Kimmy:
[51:22] The election time.

Audience:
[51:23] The during election.

Sarah:
[51:24] Yeah yeah.

Audience:
[51:25] Really doesn't even vote.

Kimmy:
[51:27] I don't know why I was a big deal.

Audience:
[51:29] And she would only post like.

Kimmy:
[51:31] Well actually so I yeah so I wouldn't really post anything political at all and even though I could because it's my social media you know.

Sarah:
[51:41] Can post what you want on your own.

Kimmy:
[51:43] Yeah so I would just post you know Bible studies or some devotionals I would just like to share share God's word,
through the platform that I have and that God has given me I feel like that is something really important nowadays especially teenagers and we're really big on social media,
um I just would post that sort of stuff and I knew would never I would never like,
say it out loud or like of what presidential candidate yeah.

Sarah:
[52:11] Right and it doesn't really matter but people would make assumptions.

Kimmy:
[52:15] Yes exactly so it was all assumptions that they had made and they totally just canceled me they unfollowed me blocked me talk too bad,
about me behind my back and they said all these like mean and untrue stuff just because I had posted I mean conservative and biblical truth on my story.

Audience:
[52:36] The thing was that one person led to another to another to another so it's kind of like a trend.

Sarah:
[52:43] Yeah okay.

Audience:
[52:43] To cancel Kimberly so I always felt bad you know and I but Kimberly just like she just kept going,
and I feel like I mean God was,
always with her and she felt it she felt the present and so them opening the doors at church with her having be a be a leader,
she had a place of belonging so she didn't need to be long over here because she belonged to Jesus and she knew it,
you know so because of that I mean because of Jesus like she's she's here today you know because you know people are mean,
and so it could have gone like she could have been depressed and all but but Jesus brought her along so,
I really and and the church like I told Kimberly Kennedy she had Kennedy in my eyes had more leadership skills Kennedy did then Kimberly,
I never ever saw Kimberly being a leader.

Kimmy:
[53:57] Thanks Mom.

Sarah:
[54:01] Hey well you know.

Kimmy:
[54:02] Where's the butt in this.

Sarah:
[54:04] Hahaha.

Audience:
[54:05] Yes because I mean it's from seventh grade when she started her before she started her worship,
at the with the youth she started that Ministry and with the,
Essex love thy neighbor and so she did that and then she did the youth worship then they called her to do Sunday morning.

Kimmy:
[54:30] Sunday morning Sunday morning like lead where she.

Sarah:
[54:32] Okay okay.

Audience:
[54:33] Arjun so now she's the leader for the all the adults in the band.

Sarah:
[54:37] Yeah yeah.

Audience:
[54:39] And so all of these leadership positions that God has,
definitely clearly placed in her life like intentionally you know so all this time she's okay if they unfollowed her she's okay if,
she's not going with the,
she's okay with it so that's why coming to Liberty even though she's going to be so far away like everyone is,
in the same mental mindset same mentality everyone's for Jesus champions for Christ,
to seen a daily you know and so I love that about Liberty and so I we experienced it,
last time in this time and so I I know that she'll be fine.

Sarah:
[55:32] Yeah absolutely.

Audience:
[55:33] And if she's not going to be with us.

Sarah:
[55:34] Yeah so Shameless plug for Liberty University if you want to sponsor now that's something good we will let you know it's good no,
no that's great because here's the deal and we talked about it often behind the scenes God is the one who raises people up and down and platforms so much in our culture it can look like well you need to have X amount of Instagram followers.

Kimmy:
[55:54] Mmm for sure.

Sarah:
[55:54] People and it's based on the platform and of course there's times in places for that but God doesn't really care about those things he cares about the heart,
and he is looking for people who are going to worship Him in spirit and in truth and he can raise anybody up and,
pull anybody down that he wants to and he's looking for Humble Hearts of people that are going to follow him and serve him and that doesn't matter of political views or any other stances is just looking for people who love Jesus and that can happen all across the board and all over the place,
and so Kimmy those are really cool lessons that you got in there,
Carrie you really far because your mom and will and I that are a few years that are edging closer to the classic category even though we're going to say we're really far away from it we're we are very far away from it right Rachel we're not that close,
but we can tell you how much that's just going to serve you in the earlier you learn that in your life how that's just going to benefit you to go hey a lot of things they're going to be seasons of stuff good bad things are going to come and go,
but our relationship with the Lord is one of the most important things and that's what's going to keep you grounded and keep you going.

Kimmy:
[57:00] Amen for sure.

Sarah:
[57:01] I love it well gimme the very last thing we asked everybody on the show is because it's called now that's something good you've already shared with us a lot of good,
do you have one more good thing you'd like to share with us I always tell people I can be anything there's no qualifier can be like literally it doesn't matter anything.

Kimmy:
[57:20] Hmm there's a lot of good things.

Sarah:
[57:22] Yeah absolutely.

Kimmy:
[57:23] Hmm.

Audience:
[57:28] That is is good all the time you know,
those that are need encouragement and stuff just when I feel discouraged you know just being thankful for what I do have and and so.

Kimmy:
[57:45] Seeing the cup half full instead of half empty.

Sarah:
[57:48] It's really good yeah.

Audience:
[57:49] That helps a lot that just thanking God for just I'm here I'm 51 years old and I'm here and I'm alive and I'm you know so and I have a family you know so.

Sarah:
[57:59] Absolutely yeah that is gratitude is always a great way to pave the way for a lot of things that helps our whole outlook so that's amazing Kennedy do you want to answer to I decided to let all of you answer really.

Kimmy:
[58:11] Yeah for sure.

Audience:
[58:12] I was just saying that meeting Lily.

Kimmy:
[58:16] I was going to say that.

Sarah:
[58:18] You can say it to you could say it to that.

Audience:
[58:25] Cohen be like guys you'll never believe.

Kimmy:
[58:26] Guys you'll never yeah.

Sarah:
[58:30] I love it love it.

Audience:
[58:32] Seem to meet you guys.

Kimmy:
[58:33] For sure.

Audience:
[58:34] They do feel like this is just the beginning of our relationship with y'all so.

Sarah:
[58:39] Absolutely yeah absolutely Kimmy you can say where are you.

Kimmy:
[58:43] You totally stole that thanks a lot can be yeah but no but yeah it's it's gonna say just meeting all was such a blessing and for sure it was no coincidence God knew that,
we were gonna be in that exact.

Sarah:
[58:58] Yes yes.

Kimmy:
[59:00] At the same time like that was so weird,
I was telling my mom I was just telling her that Lynchburg is kind of actually like big like I didn't expect it to be that big and we were trying to like just cruise around finding something to do on a Saturday morning
you know and then we found that Park and we're like okay and I totally I was then you ask me when are you not happy I was like I am in this sweatshirt,
I am wearing jeans heavy jeans I was like oh my gosh are you sure you guys.

Sarah:
[59:29] Was a little hot outside.

Kimmy:
[59:30] Yeah I was like are you sure you guys want to do this Trail where people are dressed in like,
biking outfits and and you know like outside like outfits and I was like guys like come on now so so we ended up doing it and then we walk out and sure enough we see.

Sarah:
[59:46] There we are.

Kimmy:
[59:47] Haha so that was good.

Sarah:
[59:50] I love it I love it well we're really grateful to have met you guys and cannot wait to see what God continue to do in all of your lives you definitely have new fans with us and now you have a whole new now that's something good family to follow along too so,

Sarah:
[1:00:21] You did great well what the hell people can me as we should have said this on the beginning people often tell me you know like on pot I don't know if you listen to podcast a lot but you can speed them up,
or slow down and we always joke like we will listen to podcast a little faster except for they cannot listen when I'm talking and I feel like the same thing would be true of you the two of us,
we're already naturally at one and a half speed do not speed this one up you probably a slow down.

Kimmy:
[1:00:43] Just a heads up.

Sarah:
[1:00:44] I love it I love it awesome thanks guys.

Kimmy:
[1:00:47] Thank you.
